I can't seem to enable Flash Protected mode on Firefox 45.0.2 on WIndows 10. I tried following the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/adobe-flash-protected-mode-firefox but the checkbox isn't there.

I'm using 64-bit Firefox and the latest version of Flash.

Try to toggle this pref on the about:config page to enable/disable protected mode in the Shockwave Flash plugin (Windows Vista and later).

  • dom.ipc.plugins.flash.disable-protected-mode

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

That pref is currently false (which I assume indicates that secure mode is enabled) but it doesn't seem to actually affect anything.
