How or can you set address field to fixed position?
It is really, REALLY aggravating to me when the address field jumps around while a web page is loading and it causes me to click on the wrong icon on the tool bar. Is it really necessary to have the field expand and contract while a page is loading?
I may hold my mouse over, say, Share to Twitter icon, but when page quits loading the icon is no longer in the same position. I have the tool bar laid out as I want it and really do not want to make any changes to their position. Being able to set the tool bar so everything does not move while pages load would be nice. Any ideas on how to do this?

It's not normal for toolbar controls to resize or move on their own while a page is loading.
The division of space within the address bar may change: EVSSL certs cause the site owner's name to appear, using the back button causes the forward button to appear, etc., but the overall length of the address bar should not change.
Normally the address bar takes up residual space not used by other controls and wouldn't have any reason to change size (or to move) unless something else changes.
Are any built-in or add-on controls being added or removed or resized automatically during the load process?

Nothing has been added to make the address field expand or contract in size.
While sites are loading, the URLs are too long for where site's content is being picked up and they cause a shift of address field left and right until site's page is loaded.
It has always been that way and probably wouldn't be noticed if I could add a toolbar for everything. Including Home, Back/Forward, and Download icons. Removing all or any icons defeats the purpose of having them where they are now.
I was just wondering if there was a config part I could change to stop address field from needing to show long URLs at times. Nice if the fields could be fixed width. That includes the search field.
Can you post a screen shot or a link to a video showing what happens? I think you must have an unusual toolbar layout that I simply cannot envision.
