Hi,

Would you please take a look at this article :

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/push-notifications-firefox

But (good news  !) when, in less than two weeks Firefox 59 will be released, see :

because the walls of text i saw did not explain a simple method for turning off web push notifications.

Can it be done? Is there a button or box to tick? Where do i go to do that?

Not seeing that in the articles

The Answer is web notifications can not be turned off.

The intrusive message that pops up with every site i visit can not be removed unless you use a different browser.

this is the correct answer right?

No, that is not the correct answer - but since you're not happy with the links I gave you : maybe somebody else will be able to give you the answer you're looking for .....

Would you be so kind as to remove the Chosen Solution mark from your post  ? You can do so by clicking on the 'Undo' button to the right of that post.

I'm glad I made you laugh ....

now how about removing web notifications?

The answer is right there in my first post - it's really not that difficult, you'll see.

It's not Firefox who is annoying you with these notifications - it's the websites you visit. Firefox provides you with the options to stop these nuisances ....

But again : maybe somebody else will prove me wrong and give you the answer you're looking for .....

If you'll remove that Chosen Solution mark, you'll stand a better chance of somebody actually giving you that answer.
