Thunderbird 78.1.0 sending more than one cc
Since I installed the new version I can only seem able to send one person a cc! I have tried using the ; bit after changing it to a , I am unable to add any more addresses. How can I cc more than one person? thanks

There has been a change as you have discovered. It is actually now much easier than before - once you understand what is going on :)
Before, each email address was on a separate line, so you could have eg: four Cc email addresses one per line. Now, there is only one Cc, but it is designed to contain all the email addresses you want to send as Cc. Now, you will see each entered email address is contained in a rectangle box which the developers like to call a pill.
So, you can select the 'Cc' option - located to the right of from address. Cc field is created. Type, [select autocomplete result], press Enter -> pill is created. Type next address (or select from auto complete drop down), press Enter -> another pill.
Note: Commas between recipient pills are neither needed nor possible; the new design emphasizes recipients as items (more than plain text). In the message source, commas will be correctly added as required to separate recipient, so this is done automatically by thunderbird. You can see this working if you save as a draft and then view the draft copy.
You can also use the 'Contacts sidebar' Select address book Hold down Ctrl key whilst you select various contacts, then click on 'Add to Cc' button and everything is auto created and inserted. The Cc field is created and each contact is added in it's own 'pill'.

Thanks so much - Once you explained it I can see how much easier it is!
Thanks for your help. It really is a superior method once it was explained to me. Thanks!
Please forgive the snide comment but I have been in C.V.19 lock down since March(7-8 months). In you response, you say that the new CC method is easier.
Seriously?? Pressing "Enter" was hard for anyone? I have been pressing "Enter" for next addressee for years. It worked as expected. Quit fixing things that aren't broken.
Thank you for the response and supporting Mozilla/Thunderbird. I do appreciate you taking time to create the answer that I needed. Even if I don't like the answer.
Everyone "mask-up" and stay healthy.

Then you don't have a problem because you still do exactly the same, the only difference is a new TO line is not created. That pressing enter after entering email address, turns it into what the developers call a 'pill' even if does have square corners ! But the cursor is still next to it ready for you to keep typing another email address.
re :Quit fixing things that aren't broken. Just because they were not broken for you does not mean there were no problems for other people. I never had an issue either and I loved the old system if I'm honest, but as someone who helps on the Support Forum, I am well aware that there were issues for others, particulary with people using text file address lists and others needing less clicks to combat RSD.
When new stuff comes out it's always a bit of a pain at first.
