How can I remove the spam "What's new" button?

more options

I just stopped using Chrome because they insisted on spamming me in-app. I do NOT want to get spammed about "features" I couldn't care less about - especially when they show how little they respect me by forcing it on me.

So Failfox is doing the same thing? Forcing the "What's new" AD on me? I do not want it. I will quit using Forcefox if this is their philosophy. Help me remove this SPAM or I'll go find another browser.

For goodness sake, how much longer until every TOS and EULA simply says "You're a slave, shut up or die."?

Is this the button that appears toward the right end of the toolbar after an update -- looks like a gift box? I didn't get that one today when I installed Firefox 87; I guess there were no interesting changes.

But to protect yourself against future notifications, try this:

  • Click the menu button
  • Click What's New
  • Uncheck the box at the bottom for "Notify about new features"

Screenshot attached. I guess it may be some time before we know whether that worked for you.
