Hello. Had installed Mozilla awhile back, then uninstalled it but could not remember why. After re-installing, the issue has come back and think it best to ask. I use Free Download Manager and the add-on is active and downloads OK. Problem comes when handling streaming videos. When an object I intend to download has a download button, FDM automatically picks and handles the download; however, when I right-click a streaming video and "Save Video As", Mozilla does not pick the download via FDM but switches to the traditional download method. Interestingly, same scenario in Chrome and Edge, the "save video as" via FDM works picks perfectly. Please help. Thanks

Capturing streaming videos sounds pretty vage, problems can occure due copyright issues or maybe a codec problem or else. That it worked in the past cant garantee that it still works today.

Thank you Henricuz. No, Mozilla has never worked, but other browsers (Opera, Vivaldi, Edge) have worked and continue to work on the target streaming video sites -simply right-click on playing video, "Save Video As" and voila, FDM pops up and downloads. Had hoped to maintain a single browser (Mozilla) on my pc but due to this problem, appears I have another think coming.

Have you tried contacting FDM support?

@FredMcD, interesting how another brings to light an obvious thought. Had approached the matter with Mozilla as the culprit but never thought of contacting FDM support. Doing so now, thank you for the suggestion.
