Using Filters - new email not highlighted infolder list
I have created all the filters I need in my Thunderbird email account. When a new email comes in I don't know any are there when I look at my folders because none are highlighted. I have to manually click on each folder to see if there are any new emails in there. Usually there are and if I hadn't manually opened each and every one I wouldn't know they were there. How do you get a new email to show up in the corresponding folder it arrives in after being filtered? Anything that ISN'T filtered and shows up in my INBOX does show up and is highlighted.
Is it because the folders were imported from Outlook rather than being created in Thunderbird? This is the only reason I can think of.
Chosen solution
Right-click one of the folders where filtered mail is moved, Properties. Is the box 'When getting new messages...' checked?

I had no idea that was there. I looked and no it wasn't checked. Looked at a few more, some were checked and some weren't! Have no idea why as I hadn't even looked at them! This should have it resolved, thanks so much!!
Modified
The highlighting of the filtered mail folder was working fine, until the latest Thunderbird release (91.2). I'm running the 32-bit version and while the folder does show the number of new messages, I'd rather also see the name of the folder in bold.
Also, the right click menu as described above doesn't show that option any longer.
Was this a regression in the latest version??
Thanks,
Neil
