Hi, when I set up another email alias in T/Bird on my Desktop PC it was a simple process of just clicking next, next, next etc however next thing my alias inbox appeared and was importing thousands of emails off the server that were already in the Inbox of my main T/Bird email address anyway. I have now discovered that all of my emails have disappeared off the server which has also removed them all off my Android phone which has Xtramail set up through GMail. Just to complicate the issue, because I already had them in my main T/B Inbox anyway, I deleted what came through off the new alias Inbox. Is there a way to export them back to Xtramail (NZ), keeping in mind my main Inbox has around 25000 emails because they are business related and need to keep them. I only need to export back around 8000 or less if need be though. Or........can I export less of them to my Android through this GMail setup somehow. (I only have basic skills sorry - please advise with simple instructions if possible) Many thanks, Lazza.

I would ask Xtramail whether they have a backup of your account. They should. It sounds as if you might have set up the second account as POP, which means download and keep all emails, rather than IMAP, with means show me what's in my inbox on Xtramail but leave everything on the server... so that the other devices can see it. Either way, if you set the second account, downloaded everything and then deleted everything- it would be gone from the server because you deleted it. SO a backup at their end is your best bet.
