when i am typing anything suddenly the cursor line disappears and anything i have typed after then doesnt appear, so i have to click the mouse again to carry on typing. i have noticed that when this happens the minimise and close squares in the top right of the screen change to plain black background. it has happened more than 7 times while i have been typing this.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
