That isn't a default feature in Firefox, it was added by an extension. Do you have the Google Toolbar extension installed? Is it enabled?

Cant see the Google toolbar extension anywhere on FFv4

Cant see it on the 'extensions page either ?

You can still do a search of the selected text via the right-click context menu.
