Using Firefox 4.0 under Win XP Home SP3 I do "Pin as App Tab" to several tabs. When I restart Firefox those tabs do not open, either normally or as App Tabs. What do I need to do to make them re-open automatically on re-start?

Chosen solution

@bakerboy: App Tabs can be forgotten if you have set your Firefox preferences to automatically clear recent history. To verify your settings, see this article: Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox.

@cdatkins: do you have any utility (like CCleaner) that clears your recent Firefox history?

I am using Mac OS X and pinned apps do fine on restarting Firefox, but have the same problem after reboot of Mac. Is this a bug?

Thank you dynamite, that's the answer. I had the option "Clear history when Firefox closes" set. De-selected, the App Tabs open on re-start. Too bad the description of App Tabs didn't mention that little necessity or that there isn't (yet) an option to clear the history except for the App Tabs.

You're welcome! I will try to get these details added to the documentation for App Tabs.

I did not install any cleaner utility like CCleaner. Any other ideas?
