Why can I no longer save tabs for later viewing, for instance when I start the computer I wish to view all the tabs I had open when I closed the computer

No details is necessary. Although I certainly wish to know whose bright idea it was to switch position of the "open link as a tab" and "open link i new window" options when you press the right mousebutton.

In case you or someone who reads this thread still wants to know:

Firefox 4 saves the previous session automatically, so there is no longer need for the dialog asking if you want to save the current session.

You can use "Firefox > History > Restore Previous Session" to get the previous session. There is also a "Restore Previous Session" button on the default about:home Home page.

Another possibility is to use:

Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the 'Browsing History' when you close Firefox.
