The behavior you expect is the behavior I see in Windows 7, I expect your problem is an extension. Try creating a new tab in Windows Safe mode to see if the problem occurs there. Do not check any of the boxes there, if you do you would permanently affect your profile. Help > Restart with Add-ons disabled (one time).

Hi David first of all, thanks for your answer; second of all, you are 100% right: i did what you suggested and got the expected behavior back! now do you have an idea how to identify which extension causes me that trouble (except deactivating them one by one and see what happens?) thanks anyway olivier

Hi again David, do not bother look for an aswer for my last question: i did not realise i had so few of them and deactived them 1 by 1 in the end and got my answer: Foxtab is the one causing me trouble; so unless you have a workaround solution i ll keep it deactivated for a while and wait for an update if any ... thanks again for your help. olivier
