I want to synch my settings from my old hard drive

more options

I replaced the hard drive in my laptop & want to bring over my Firefox settings. I followed the synching instructions, and tried swapping the hard drives to make it work. Any idea how to do this? I can swap drives or use the old drive as an external.

Having the old drive as external (e.g., in a USB caddy) sounds a lot easier.

You can copy key files from your old Firefox profile folder to your PC. This article should help: Recovering important data from an old profile.
