In the past if I used adobe reader 8 or 9 the adobe toolbar would always show in Mozilla when I open a PDF. It seems with adobe 10 the adobe toolbar is not displayed on the top of the page it has a toolbar at the bottom that hides and can be put on the top of the page only when you have it open at that time

That toolbar at the bottom is the Add-on Bar

What is the Add-on Bar?

https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/what-add-bar

Check and tell if its working.

You would need to install adobe 10 and try to open a pdf in mozilla to see this toolbar. It is not an add on. This is an adobe toolbar that has the print button email button and others. In the older versions of adobe the toolbar is on the top of the page

OK i got it. The Adobe bar is available to me though when i try to open a pdf file link on Firefox. I opened this link:

http://www.state.nj.us/mvc/pdf/About/mcm996.pdf

Are you seeing the Adobe bar when you open this link ??

like I said on the bottom not on the top like in older versions of adobe. If you are not using Adobe 10 you will not see what im talking about

The Adobe bar is not a Permanent thing. It appears ONLY when you open a PDF file in Firefox.

I know what i am talking about and i am using Adobe 10.1. Open a PDF file in Firefox, it will load the PDF file and then the Adobe Bar Appears. You can also Drag the Adobe Bar to Top or to wherever you want to put it.

The behavior of Adobe Bar in Adobe 10.x is to appear at the Bottom of the page. If you have Complains about it, ask about it from the Adobe Technical Support team.

I know the toolbar is there. However in the older version the toolbar always shows on top since I installed the new version 10 the toolbar is on the bottom and does not stay on the top like it use to with the older version

Try hitting F8 when you are viewing a PDF in a Firefox tab / window, that toggles that Adobe toolbar on & off.

That works however how do I save it so the toolbar stays there on top like it always did in the older versions of adobe?

It should be there the next time Adode Reader opens, if you close it with that toolbar displayed. At least it does for me. If it doesn't remember that setting, there may be something wrong with Adobe Reader.

No it does not stay. If I close out of the PDf and go into it or anothewr PDF the toolbar is not there

I had this problem of the top toolbar never showing up until I clicked on the fade in/out toolbar floating at the bottom and clicking on the Adobe symbol to show the top tool bar. I could not seem to find how to keep and always show the toolbar at the top when opening Adobe Reader X but by digging around seemed to have cured it by... opening from my program list Adobe Reader X; then selecting Edit; then going down this list and selecting Preferences; then going down the list and selecting Internet; and finally unchecking 'display in Read Mode by default' and save. Now when I open any PDF document, the toolbar does appear at the top.
