I am running Firefox 9.01 yet my home page says I am using a old version?
I re-installed 9.01 several times yet my home page has not been updated to the new version and there is an error message that I am not using the current version, yet if you go to help about firefox it says it is 9.01

This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. I think that Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox, as they hard-coded that "upgrade" message into that page - all versions of Firefox see that message.
Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of about:home. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.

I solved the problem by changing my home page. This worked great
