Firefox 10 crashes at startup and in safe mode startup
Firefox 10.0 crashes at startup. Safe Mode is not possible, firefox crashes at startup, too. De-Installation and clean Re-Installation without Extensions doesnt helps.
Chosen solution
Firefox 10 should work on XP without crashing, and I have previously used Firfefox 10 on XP myself, it seems probable any problem is on your setup.
Can you please confirm that you deleted the firefox program folder and files before doing the re-instal ?
Have you tried to rule out malware by doing multiple scans with up-to-date tools ?
We may at some time get a solution based on the bug reports that have been filed.

Restart your System
Create a New Profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.
IF that New Profile works then you can recover your History, Bookmarks and Passwords from the Old Profile.
Check and tell if its working.
I do not have time to read all the related bugs to see if I understand them, but will post some general tips.
- keep your eye on firefox latest issues for any breaking news
- watch the forum for related crashes yours:
- Crash ID report [031f804b-9a7c-4aee-a50a-ea31c2120206]
- Crash Signature: mozalloc_abort(char const* const) | _RTC_Terminate
- possibly related bug 718192 (also 637596, 686358, 680130 )
Try a clean reinstall after first of all removing the programs folder for firefox
Try to rule out malware as a possible cause

Hi John,
yes i can confirm that i delete all firefox program folders and the mozilla folder in the application data, had done a registry clean, and restart the restart xp before re-install firefox.
The Malware tools dont find anything.
Other than trying to check for any plugins that you could have installed that are programs not visible from within Firefox all I can say is that we may have to wait to see what happens from the bug investigations.
Does firefox still crash even when offline, e.g. if you have physically disconnected the router/internet
Now it Works.
Malwarebytes found nothing. SuperAntiSpyWare had found some Objects and after deleting this objects and a restart firefox works.
Thanks for your Help.
Glad it you sorted it out, what was the Objects that SuperAntiSpyware found ? the info may help others with similar crashes.
