I want to record, download, export, or copy (I do not know the correct terminology) the HISTORY - not the bookmarks or the cookies. How do I do this?
I want to record the history to an offline folder, as a backup.
It is important to keep this information as a time allotment record, to bill our clients for time spent online on their behalf.
I need it to be like a backup or archive, but easily readable or searchable in the future, preferably as text file, so the person reviewing it does not need to have Firefox installed on their computer.
How do I accomplish this?

hello, per default firefox is storing the history together with the bookmarks in a database/file named places.sqlite inside the profile folder. you'd have to backup this file you want to restore your history on another firefox installation.
if you just want to save your history in a "readable" form (&don't want to import it in another instance of firefox), you could use an addon like https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/history-export/.
