Every time I click on a page, firefox opens another box - I currently have 11 firefoxes on the bottom of my screen. It's locking up the computer CONSTANTLY!

I've checked the pop up blocker, done the bit with the reset it, and nothing works...I'm about to abandon firefox - which I loved! Can anyone help me? I'm running windows xp...I'm up to 13 firefox thingee's at the bottom of my screen! Aaaaaggggghhhh! Thanks!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
