FireFox Freezes when I click on the "options" btn on any of the ad-ons. I have to end task to resolve. some of my ad-ons do not work so I was trying to use the options btn to resolve and found that every time I click the options btn firefox freezes . restarting firefox in safe mode does not resolve. starting with add-ons disabled does not work, because the options btn does not appear then.

Thanks....

Did you try to disable all extensions and enable one at the time to see if that works?

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.

If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

You can also check for problems with preferences.
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js and user.js files to reset all prefs to the default value.
