Just installed the newest version of the Firefox (27) on WIndows 8.1 and would like to copy all the saved passwords (Autocomplete) from Internet Explorer 11. During the installation process it told me that the passwords will be copied over. They were not. How to do it by myself? Couldn't find anything on this support site with regards to this situation.

TIA

Hi ylzuev,

did you try this process -> http://mzl.la/LyhRKa ? If you didn't, Could you give a feedback when it's done ?

Says "Page not found". But the page title refers to importing bookmarks. That's not what I need. I need to import passwords.

okay IE uses autocomplete featureto fill forms. If u have ie try this http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/internet_explorer_password.html

try 2 export it. I won't recommend any third party app. but IE is also not mozilla product :p. try this if it can help u. Thanks keep me posted if u able to that.

Thanks. I have IE11. Does it work with 11? Also, once I export the passwords to html file, how do I import them into Firefox?

TIA

sorry ylzuev the link had to refer to this page -> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-data-another-browser. I think in the older versions, with this process you could select "passwords" in the list of elements to import from other browser. Anyway, i think you should try the password exporter addon in firefox. Maybe it could work. I hope this can help you.

it should work with ie11 not sure though but the worst thing is each password is associated with particular website so you have to open the save them sorry till now copy paste will be handy.

I don't think that Firefox can import the IE passwords.
You can import other data though.
