How to conviently switch between desktop and mobile view of websites?

I use the FF desktop browser but wish to access to mobile view of some website. Ideally this would be possibly on a by-tab basis.

I'm aware of the user agent switcher but find it cumbersome having to manually define a user agent for every website.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

There might be an add on that does this, please search at addons.mozilla.org

The only add-on that I have found is:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ua-site-switch/

However, one has to change the user-agent based on whether one wants to see the desktop or mobile web page version. I'm sure there must be an easier way to do this and would be grateful for pointers in the right direction.

HI Benji.Hobson, If you are a developer, there is also the developer tool called "Responsive Design View" however it does not change the user-agent header afaik.

A possibility could be to use the PrefBar extension and create an Extcheck button to swap the general.useragent.override pref between two values.
