US Government websites routinely blocked

Seems that most US government sites are automatically blocked by Mozilla. Normally, I have the option of "I understand the risks..." but no such option here. Despite adding this as an "exception" under Options, it still will not allow me access. In viewing the security cert, it is good through 9/2015. PKI cert; PKCS #1 SHA-1 With RSA Encryption.

Your upload image option is not working. Hence, I have no choice but to copy/paste the info:

This Connection is Untrusted

You have asked Firefox to connect securely to auction.seaport.navy.mil, but we can't confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect securely, sites will present trusted identification to prove that you are going to the right place. However, this site's identity can't be verified. What Should I Do?

If you usually connect to this site without problems, this error could mean that someone is trying to impersonate the site, and you shouldn't continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

auction.seaport.navy.mil uses an invalid security certificate.

The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.

(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

Please advise.

hello, you have to download the certificate of the DOD Root Certificate Authority into the browser's trust store: http://www.forge.mil/Faqs.html#faqs14

Downloaded, restarted FF, but still the same untrusted website.  :( Any other suggestions?

There are A LOT of security issues with this website (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=auction.seaport.navy.mil) I'd suggest you contact the navy webmaster and request they update their servers.

No problems her with https://auction.seaport.navy.mil/

Make sure that the DoD certificates are installed properly.

Asking the USG to update their cert/website? Never will happen.
