Option to chromecast not appearing in Android 7.1.1/Firefox for Android 53.0.2

I noticed https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-firefox-android-send-videos-chromecast but I am not getting very far.

I tested it on Youtube, Twitch and Vimeo but the cast icon does not appear in the address bar or in the video window.

My chromecast works with the youtube/twitch apps, as well as the Chrome browser.

Any ideas?

All of those use EME to send video to Firefox. Firefox for Android does not have EME working with Chromecast support. It should still work with bare video such as this one from wikipedia
