How to setup filtering of email body on Thunderbird
Dear Gents
my favorite job server is sending tons of crap every day. I have setup matching filters looking for concrete alert patterns in job notification engine but I am receiving enormous amount of crap not matching emails every day.
They have a flaw notification engine so I have to solve it on my side.
I would like ask kindly on this forum how to setup filters directly on gmail account inside thunderbird.
Filters shall work as follow if there is no match in email body with concrete patterns or keywords I am looking for then forward crap by default to junk folder on my gmail account.
As far I am Linux guy working with regular expressions is there way how to setup such filters by regular expressions digging or checking specific pattern inside mail body directly on fly way to save my time????
Any advice would be welcomed.
Best regards
Andrej

for regular expressions this add-on has to be the best approach. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/filtaquilla/

Using Message Filters to search message bodies seems to be a bit hit and miss. I wish you luck.

I have same issues, I put in text for Body contains and it will not match and filter the mail. Seems the Body contains is not implemented?
