Make sure your system time is synced to Network.

Hi, yes it's synced.. timedatectl status: Local time: Pr 2017-12-04 08:09:56 EET Universal time: Pr 2017-12-04 06:09:56 UTC RTC time: Pr 2017-12-04 06:09:56 Time zone: Europe/Vilnius (EET, +0200) Network time on: yes NTP synchronized: yes RTC in local TZ: no

Chrome Date(): "Mon Dec 04 2017 08:09:56 GMT+0200 (EET)" Firefox Date(): "Mon Dec 04 2017 06:09:56 GMT+0000 (UTC)" Even when I start firefox with TZ=EET firefox I get wrong time.

But what if we would like to resist fingerprinting?

Is there some necessary trade-off to get the correct time zone?

This seems like a bug to me.

When resist fingerprinting is enabled then some settings that are exposed to websites are spoofed. In case of the time this means showing the UTC (GMT) time zone. There are more things affected like the user agent that is set to the current ESR release (52.0) on Windows 7 even though I'm on Linux.

You can check out at the browserspy website how websites see you:
