Firefox won't connect to server on MacBook Pro OSX 10.5.8

I have an early 2006 MacBook Pro running OSX 10.5.8. Neither Safari nor Firefox will connect to selected URLs. I can login locally on my Wifi network, Mail works fine as does Software update so I suspect that the Wifi through my Airport Extreme is working fine. I suspect that it is an issue with the old hardware/software not being compatible with modern sites. Is there a legacy version of Firefox that will run on 10.5.8 or 10.6.8?

Hi, you have been long time unsupported : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-osx

Firefox 45.9.0esr will be the most up to date version with security fixes that will run.

http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/45.9.0esr/mac/ http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/45.9.0esr/mac/en-US/

The Firefox 48.0.2 was released August 24, 2016 and is missing several security updates that the Firefox 45.9.0esr released on April 19, 2017 has.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You can try ten4fox, http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox/

Please note, your mac is EXTREMELY old and not supported by anyone. You should purchase a new computer ASAP
