In the options under 'Home' you can set your preferences for homepage, new windows and new tabs. The thing is, the option for 'homepage and new windows' is just that, one option for both of those. I'd like to be able to have my homepage set as a couple of webpages (which I currently have), such that when I first open Firefox it brings up those couple of pages, but when I then open a new window with Firefox already open, it brings up a blank page.

Currently it seems you can only have one or the other - either your homepage can be the site(s) you choose but then opening a new window also opens those sites, or you can have a new window bring up blank page, but then your homepage is also a blank page.

I tried looking through the about:config options too (I'm not an expert at this, but I've managed to figure out some bits like changing preferencs for opening links/bookmarks in the background) and couldn't see an obvious setting to change. Thanks in advance.
