My old Linux computer crashed, but I could save the harddrive. Now I want to find and transfer the old bookmarks onto my new Linux computer. How do I do that?

Firefox normally stores profile data in your user or home folder (varies by OS). Please see these articles for reference:

You should find a folder named bookmarkbackups containing daily (approximately) backups of your bookmarks in a compressed file. These can be used with the Restore feature. It would be most convenient to copy them to the bookmarkbackups folder in your current running installation of Firefox but you also can restore a file from anywhere (using "Choose File" at the bottom of the Restore menu).

Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer

Any luck?

On Linux the main profile folder is in the hidden ~/.mozilla/firefox/ location in your home directory.
