Junk Mail Keeps Identifying as Junk Even after I select "Not Junk"

Hi: For whatever reason, when I open an email that is flagged as junk mail and select "not junk mail" and the email refreshes, it still states "thunderbird thinks this is junk mail" no matter how many times I select "not junk mail" Thank you in advance for your help; James
