When I used this user name and password right away after creating it, I got a message saying incorrect. So I could not even pose my question. And I have another question.

You're not trying to use a Firefox Account username / password with this forum, are you?
This forum has its own registration and login system that has never been part of any other Mozilla related registration / login system going all the way to 2007 / 2008 when this support forum was first started.
