Firefox for android keeps crashing

I'm having a major problem with Firefox for Android. Whenever I try to start it, it hangs for a while, then goes to the "Submit a problem" screen. There's no opportunity to start it in safe mode (or any other function where you have to be inside it) and I've already uninstalled and reinstalled it many times.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi

I have an idea that might work.

  1. Open the Android Settings application (typically a cogwheel icon)
  2. Open Applications and find Firefox
  3. In Storage, clear the cache (not the data!)
  4. Restart your device

Hopefully this should resolve this issue.

I have tried that several times, but to no avail. Thanks for replying to me though. I do appreciate it.

Hi Carl

No problem, we may be volunteers here, but we do our best to help.

I have another idea that may help. Can you type about:crashes into the address bar? If there are any crash reports listed, can you let me know what the crash ID are?
