Cannot send email through Comcast. Get error message: An error occurred while sending mail: The mail server sent an incorrect greeting: resomta-ch2-09v.sys.comcast.net resomta-ch2-09v.sys.comcast.net CSI IP 89.187.178.182 is not permitted to send messages. Please contact support if you feel this is in error.. I can send emails via Comcast using the email program in my Ipad or by logging on to Comcast directly. Tried disabling firewall - no help. Disabled add ons the other day and could send emails, stopped working again today. Tried downloading Thunderbird again (did not remove it from computer first for fear of losing saved emails. Thunderbird 68.3.0 Comcast ISP Windows 10 Avast Premium Security

just a guess, but the error message looks like an internal comcast router address. I am guessing it is yours.

open a command prompt (windows key+X) Command prompt from the menu type ipconfig and press enter

is you IP V4 address given as 89.187.178.182 ? If so contact your ISP and ask them why you are unable to submit mail to their SMTP server using the IP address they gave you. And don't let them tell you if web mail works then email works. Comcast have a very very long history of mad anti spam rules. At one point if one of their users clicked the spam button in their web mail on a single email. All mail from that address was considered spam for all user forevermore. No doubt you are now caught up in their anti spam problems.
