Makoto Shinkai's Newtab is Missing

When I was using Firefox 2 months ago, there was an extension called "Makoto Shinkai's Newtab" in Mozilla's extension site. Even though developer also supports Firefox, sadly I can't find it anymore. Is there any way to find out what happened to that extension?

Unless there was a bug report filed, it is difficult to find an explanation.

When I check the author's code repository at https://github.com/suitangi/Minimal-Newtab it looks like there was an update a couple weeks ago and I wonder whether something went wrong when that was uploaded, or whether it's a coincidence?
