Migrating and updating Thunderbird from Win7 to Win10
I'm currently using Thunderbird v52.9.1 on Windows 7. I want to move the data files to Thunderbird on a Windows 10 PC.
I installed v78.14.0 on the Windows 10 PC and matched the settings as close as I could to those I have in v52.9.1 on Windows 7. But I never set up the accounts and mail settings, and it has been kept offline and unused since then.
I am now ready to finish setting up and start using v78.14.0 on Windows 10. It currently displays a prompt to update to v91.13.1.
Should I update to 91.13.1 and then update to the latest 102.4.0?
Or should I update directly from v78.14.0 to v102.4.0?
In both cases can I update by keeping Thunderbird offline, update over top of v78.14.0 with a downloaded .exe file, and retain the existing settings I have in v78.14.0?
Thanks!

Following up on my own post . . .
After some digging around it seems a lot of folks are having a wide variety of problems with v102.n with some (many?) of them reverting back to v91.13.1.
So now I am inclined to upgrade from v78.14.0 to v91.13.1 and to wait to upgrade to v102.n when that version settles down.
Can I update v78.14.0 by keeping Thunderbird offline, update over top of v78.14.0 with a downloaded v91.13.1 .exe installation file? And will the installed v91.13.1 retain the existing settings I have in v78.14.0?
Thanks!
