Every time I launch FireFox I receive screen messages to save new files and/or updates for installation. I end up string of things to install or save. What should I do?

Does it say updates for what? Try this Updates reported when running newest version

The screen message I am getting is for:

FireFox setup 3.6..3 exe

Then save file or cancel. This appears over and over again.

Ok, that's not an update notification. See the attached screenshot.

Try going to Tools > Downloads, and removing the FireFox setup 3.6..3 exe item from the list. See Where to find and manage downloaded files in Firefox
