I need to totally erase all of my location bar history. I have done research on this issue but no matter what I do, it won't work. I don't know if there is a glitch or something. I have gone under tools-clear all history but the suggestions in the address bar dropdown is still there. I am able to go to when using location bar suggest nothing but that only stops it from showing but it doesn't erase it. I went under tools-options and I have tried clearing all history and whatever else I can think of. anybody have any suggestions?

You didn't mention clicking on the "Privacy" section of the options and choosing "Nothing" from the dropdown next to "When using the location bar, suggest:"

Oops, my mistake. You did mention it. You will still get your bookmarks appearing in the dropdown unless you just choose "History", so is all you're seeing just bookmarks?

I believe that I tried to erase all history. I also put in that it should remember history from 0 days. Either way, if it is just bookmarks that I am getting under the address bar, I am also having trouble deleting that history.

You can modify the value of the pref browser.urlbar.maxRichResults on the about:config page. The default value is 12 and -1 or 0 stops the drop down list. You need to close and restart Firefox to make changes effective.
