I have the same problem with flash content, pics do not show, only audio.

I am browsing sites created with Slideshowpro.net. Pics do not appear but music plays in the background

Reverted to Firefox 3.5.6 (using flash 10.1) and the problem has gone, I can see again all pics without errors.

It seems a problem introduced in FF 3.6.4 and 3.6.6.

Sorry, I forgot to mention I am running Windows XP 32bits and Win 7 64bits, both machines showed the error until I reverted to FF 3.5.6.

Can you post a link?

You can try if it works if you disable OOPP (Out-Of-Process-Plugins).

You can set the prefs dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* to false on the about:config page to disable the plugin-container process. dom.ipc.plugins.enabled (currently false by default) dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.npswf32.dll (Flash)

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the Enter key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Disabling OOPP resolves the problem, slideshows all load perfectly...running FF 3.6.6 & Flash 10.1

To test, refresh page several times with OOPP on, and then again refresh several times with OOPP off

So...is this an issue that can be resolved?

Thanks!!

I'm not having problems on that website with OOPP enabled on Linux. I missed that you are on Linux, but you probably know that the Flash plugin pref is named dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so

You can try to clear the Flash local storage to see if that helps. Flash Local Storage: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html See also Flash Local storage settings http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help02.html

Sorry, I am on Windows, I stated that in my second post. Same errors on XP (work), win 7 64bits (home) and vista 32bits (portable)

I also reported the error to slideshowpro.net (at first i thought the issue was caused by their software), and they could not reproduce my problem on my page

I thought, as my hosting server is on the US and I live in Europe, that maybe a little more delay triggered the error.

I'll try to clean flash local storage, but I completely uninstalled flash using adobe removal tool, and reinstalled it, and still the errors appeared.

I'll try and post results.

Thx

Hi:

Upgraded to FF 366 and cleared caches, global and local

Same error, I add a screen capture

Disabled OOPP, error is gone.

Tested from Spain

And here is a scren cap of flash /website disabling OOPP, tested just 2 minutes later. Not a single change on hosting server

Everything works fine

Hope you are able to replicate error and catch the issue that is causing the error

Thx

I have the same problem. Flash is played with only audio output and a grey window. This happens at all the flash video websites I usually go.

And I'm pretty sure it happened since the latest upgrade of firefox 3.6.11 and the relevant XUL running environment.

I'm using Ubuntu 10.10 amd64 and Adobe flashplugin 10.2 for amd64.

The same flashplugin works fine on Google Chrome. Thus I think it's the problem of firefox.
