"You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture." Error message, running Max OS X 10.5.7
I downloaded the latest version of Firefox onto my iBook G4 running OS X 10.5.7. As I followed all of the install instructions (moving the firefox logo into the applications folder), the mozilla icon had a large circle with a line through it. After installation was complete, I tried launching mozilla, but no dice. Error message states: "You cannot open the application "Firefox" because it is not supported on this architecture." I'm not sure what's going on, my operating system appears to be recent enough to support this new version of Mozilla. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

For Mac users experiencing the same problem, I followed the-edmeister's advice to try TenFourFox. I selected TenFour for G4 Processors 7450 ("G4e"). The download was fast and easy. This browser is so smooth and seamless - major improvement over the edition of firefox that I had been running before. I love it! Thanks the-edmeister!
