How can I get the old version of FF back? This v4 is very buggy!

The latest version of FF blacks out on me at least half a dozen times a day or more. Often, when I go to another web page, the entire window goes black. It does recover, but it's VERY annoying. I would like to revert back to the prior version. I have that one on my laptop and it's never a problem.
