Problem opening Google links

When I am in Google reader or Google news and I click on a link, I routinely get the message trouble loading page. The new tab opens and displays this message. I have to retry a few times. sometimes it opens and sometimes it doesn't. This only happens on Google links. Never happens on any other links. I am running XPPro on a Celeron M.

Google must have made changes again. This morning I had to disable Gmail notifier add-on, which stopped working.
