When loading FF 7.0.1 I receive an error message in a Windows box. "Windows cannot find 'website name'. Make sure you typed it correctly, and then try again." FF then proceeds to load and properly display the website. FF only does this for the initial load, not for loading subsequent tabs. FF does this for consistently for all websites (but not tabs). FF 7.0.2 did the same.

After executing the troubleshooting recommendations, I find that the problem stops occurring when I disable the RoboForm extension. This extension shows that it is for FF 7.0.2, not 7.0.1, but I don't know how to get FF 7.0.2. I had read that this latest release of FF has a problem with RoboForm, but like many others, I must have RoboForm. I guess that I will have to put up with the error message until someone fixes the incompatibility between FF and RF. Or maybe I can figure out how to go to a prior release of FF.

Thank you for your help.

Which version of Roboform are you using ??

Update Roboform to version 7.5.2

Check and tell if its working.

I am using RoboForm 7.5.2. That did not stop the issue. Thank you for the suggestion.

This problem is defined here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Windows_error_opening_Internet_shortcut_or_local_HTML_file_-_Firefox

It looks like one of the more complex workarounds is required, unless something changes in RoboForm.
