When I updraded to Firefox 7, the language of some of my extensions changed. My OS is in Japanese, but I use Firefox in English. Before the update, my extensions were in english as well. What setting can I adjust to fix it?

My OS is Windows in Japanese. My Firefox is in English. My extensions showed up in english.

After upgrading to the latest verion, the language of the extensions changed to Japanese (for the extensions that provide localization).

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

What is the value of the pref general.useragent.locale on the about:config page?

By the way, I just found this in the config page: intl.locale.matchOS=true

But if I set it to false and restart, it shows again as true and the extensions remain in japanese.

I have a simular problem, my FF is Dutch but some items are displayed in English. How do I change my : general.useragent.locale=en-US to Dutch?

Is that general.useragent.locale pref on the about:config user set (bold) or does it have the default value?

If it has en-US as the default value then you have an en-US locale and need to install the Dutch (nl) locale.

I found out that the "Pencil" extension was setting the configuration. I removed the extension and the other extension's language is back to normal.

Thanks!
