Firefox crashes

Everything was working fine with the previous version of Firefox until Firefox 8 update was applied.

What I did was to update Firefox 8 by updating via the program but when it crashed, I did a clean uninstall and re-install the program. On the same day, Apple released a Java update and that too was updated.

The crash started when I visited my school eLearning website (http://webct.uwa.edu.au) and that required Java to run. Usually the old Firefox will have a pop up box alerting me that Blackboard would like to run an applet which I clicked ok and it would run smoothly.

With Firefox 8 and the new Java, it crashes every time when I log into the learning module. Is there anything wrong with the Java or Firefox itself? Thanks.

The developers are investigating this in bug 700835.
