How to run java application

I am trying to run a java application from Firefox 7.0.1 in Ubuntu 11.10. It is a network connect app from juniper networks. The applet runs fine in Chromium. It doesnt run in firefox.

Download the latest version of Java from http://java.com/ and see if that works.
