I cannot open, update or uninstall Firefox

I have been unable to open Firefox, so I tried to update to the latest version. I keep getting message that I must close Firefox to continue. The problem is Firefox is not open. I get the same message when I tried to uninstall.

The problem has been solved. The message I was getting was that Firefox was opened and must be closed before unintall could be completed. When I couldn't find where Firefox was opened I just completely shut down my computer and restarted, then was able to uninstall Firefox. Plan now to reinstall the new version. Thanks for your inquiry.
