I'm using FF 8.0 with Windows.

The cache total under options->advanced->network fluctuates, up and down, without my having cleared it. The result is slower page loads because, it seems, some sites or data have been removed from cache.

How do I stop this, so it only clears when I manually clear it? Thanks.

I think I fixed the clearing cache without input problem.

1. Go to Options->Advanced->Network. Check Override automatic cache management. 2. In about:config, highlight 'browser. cache. check_doc_frequency.' Right click then choose Modify. Enter value '0' or value '2.'

The cache will build until manually cleared.
