On several web pages where there is a clickable button, it shows on top of the regular text for the web page. I cannot read the text then. How do I correct this?

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" in case the current setting is causing problems.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.

You can use an extension to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages.

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)

I have everything set as you suggested in the beginning of your reply. I have been using the nosquint add on. I reset zoom. It makes no difference. On certain web pages it just doubles up on top of the regular text.

Can you attach a screenshot and post a link to a few web pages where you see this?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

I am attaching a screen shot of one of the pages

http://www.bethechangesxm.com/#!membership/c1ghi It also happens on http://www.nbcnews.com/

Local weather which is clickable is superimposed over NBC news. I have a screen shot of that too

those are just 2 examples.

Are you sure that you have set the minimum font size to none and aren't zooming the page with zoom text only?

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
  • View > Zoom (press F10 or tab Alt to get the menu bar)

double checked my settings...minimum font size checked none zoom ..checked full page zoom, not zoom text

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

thanks for your help. I'll try your last suggestion and let you know
