I don't receive emails I've cc'd or bcc'd myself on & now am not receiving some legit emails at all
For the past 4+ weeks emails I've sent & either cc'd or bcc'd myself on do not arrive in my Inbox. I see a copy of the emails in my Sent folder but they do not show in my Inbox.

christ1,
His Gmail solutions don't include the best (and easiest) one:
-- Settings >> Accounts and Import >> Send mail as:
-- Find the default address (the one you're sending from and to), click "edit info", and check the "Treat as alias" box. Click the "Next step" button and you're done.
Now e-mail sent to you from you will show up in your inbox and be marked as unread.
--An alternative way to make the messages show up is to create a filter with from: and to: set to your e-mail address, and the "Never send to spam" box checked. But: the e-mails will be marked as read. So, I like solution one best.

I assume you are not getting rejection messages. If you request a delivery receipt for the message, do you get one?
There is a common pattern among spammers to put you as both the sender and recipient, so some of your copies to yourself might be going into a junk folder somewhere. You may need to use a browser and log in to your account using a webmail interface to investigate that.
No rejection messages. No delivery receipts when requested.
Had to use my gmail account to sign up for this forum because the Mozilla verification email never came thru in Thunderbird. Checked webmail and nothing is showing up there either.
WebHostingPad is email host & have SpamAssassin set at default protection which never seemed to cause a problem in the past. I just booked a flight on Southwest & the confirmation email didn't make it through - had to resend to gmail account. Not sure what to do next??
Are you connected using POP? In that case, it sounds like a server problem.
If you're using IMAP, it's possible that a local rule/filter might be (re)moving the messages.
I use IMAP. Double checked & checked again the account level filters & Spamassassin settings - haven't made any changes so I don't know why email would suddenly stop coming through.
If you logon to your webmail account using a browser and there are no emails getting received, then when Thunderbird connects to server it will not see them either because it is looking at the same folders.
If emails are not getting through to the server, first check to see if you have used up your quota on the server. The server cannot receive any email if there is no room.
In Account settings > Server settings. Check that cleanup (:expunge") is turned on then exit and restart Thunderbird.
Give some time for thunderbird to 'chat' with the server. This should make sure that 'deleted' mail is really deleted amd not using up much needed space.
In thunderbird, if you use your gmail account and send an email to yourself - to the account that is currently not receiving email, do you get a Mailer Daemon email received by the gmail account...it might offer a clue as to what is going on.

Thanks to both of you for replying. I updated Thunderbird this morning to use SSL/TLS and it appears to have resolved the issue. Go figure...
