After reset, Firefox still slow

The browser reports startup is slow, so it offers to reset the browser, but I just did this yesterday. I'm on Windows 7 with an older desktop of just over 2 Ghz processing speed and 1GB ram. Is there any way to improve this scene? (Other than hardware upgrades)

Maybe you should disable that slow startup warning if you have a system that isn't very fast.

  • about:config page: browser.slowStartup.notificationDisabled = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
